2 life changing books

I titled this post, 2 life changing books…but it’s more than that. These books have the ability to not only change your life, but the course of human existence.

Yes, I said it!

I know how big of a statement that is!

But it’s true!

“Don’t spend your precious time asking “Why isn’t the world a better place?” It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is “How can I make it better?” To that there is an answer.” – Leo buscaglia

and that is Leo Bucaglia.   This quote alone could be my rallying cry, my motto when I go out to speak to people. How very true and profound this simple statement is.

The first book I’d like to draw your attention to is:  LOVE

Love is a book which not only speaks of this emotion (or whatever you’d like to call it) but how we as humans can and have the ability to use it.

The book, class, and social transformation came about when one of his University of Southern California student killed herself. she was one of those faces in the mass of the auditorium that he watched to see if at least one person was getting what he was teaching. How well I know this feeling.

In the most simple, unfeeling, and copy written words I copy for you from Amazon books the summary of the book:

“This book is about love. What it is and what it isn’t. It is about you–and about everybody who has ever reached out to touch the heart of another. Among many other lessons of the heart, Leo Buscaglia reminds us: Love is open arms. If you close your arms about love you will find that you are left holding only yourself.”

It is a book that shows you that every person has the ability to love every other person. In fact, it is actually hardwired in our being to reach out and love every human being around us. and the way to do this – find and identify the humanness in every person, that piece of them that is vulnerable, scared, and REAL, and speak to that person and love that part of them. This book shows us how to love not only the people we’re expected to love, but all people and by doing this, how we can open up our hearts and do wonderful things in this world.

The 2nd book:

This book as it sates on the cover: The art of being fully human. A triumphant and refreshing Journey through the heart’s mind.

Just the fact that the cover of this book says the “heart’s mind”. Wow!  Interesting enough, Heartlab corp has found that there is more heart to brain blood flow and electrical stimulus (ie thinking) going from heart to brain than brain to heart. We have always thought the Brain as this great control system, but Heartlab is finding a very new story of the heart being more in control than the Brain.

Wow!

In fact, our body reacts more from emotion, heart-felt communication, and love than anything intellectual. When these positive “love-like” emotions enter the brain, the brain lights up like a Christmas tree dumping thousands of positive-type chemicals into the blood stream. These are chemicals such as adorphins and adrenaline. We are turning into a happy person just by being around that emotion, or thinking about having that emotion.

This book is about (Sorry…bad summary again): In his warm, inviting, and inclusive, style, bestselling author Leo Buscaglia manages to bring a vision of the world together within his warm embrace. Sharing the stories of his travels and his encounters with people all over the world, Buscaglia reminds us that we are all people who have the potential to share ourselves with ourselves as well as others. A lover of life and people, Buscaglia’s insight into our hearts and souls, his reassurance as to our essential good natures, is a much-needed reminder of our connectedness to one and all.

Imagine, a book that defines and shows you the way to being a fully mature person, but not in the sense of the socially acceptable society machine…but through understanding we are all connected together in this great web of energy and existence. The more fully realized we are, the happier we are and the better we will help others feel. Int her end, we all help and feel for the people of the world.

Both of the books will change the way you see yourself, your relationships (lover and not), and your connection tot he rest of humanity.
