Throw a neighborhood potluck
Why not! There are always days that cooking is not fun. Instead of going to yet another grease infested, nasty, fast food place…create a neighborhood pot luck.
Walk to everyone’s house and explain what you’re doing, and then give them a date. Set up tables in front of a central house, and ask others to set tables next to it. Create a long buffet line and the feast is on. It doesn’t matter what’s on the line, it just matters that everyone is together. Then everyone gets to take a plate home.
You’ll try new food, enjoy new company, and the whole neighborhood will change the way they see each other.
When you see what people put on the dinner table you being to accept and understand them. When we accept and understand people, we become friends and fighting goes out the window.
The goal is to create peaceful positive change…this is a great way to do it.
