Daily Dose of Motivation…Postive facebook

Create your Facebook, Twitter, etc into a positive page for all to see.

This is such a simple thing to do. Go out there and search for positive pages. Like and friend as many positive pages as your possibly can. It’s so very simple: Go to the search bar, put in the word positive or positive change or happiness or joyful. Any positive, feel good, word will do. Then, like and friend these pages. Suddenly your newsfeed will be flooded with positivity.

1st – You reading and seeing these things will create a little positive flower in your heart that will grow into a bouquet, a bushell, and then a whole positive flower garden.

2nd – You share these, and you will create that same positive flower in others.

3rd – They will share these as well…creating an unbelievable ripple effect of positivity.

4th – They will comment back to you…creating more positivity. The affects are infinite!

Daily Dose of Motivation…..charity and nonprofits

Like and share Charity and Nonprofit facebook pages.

As you know, every organization has a facebook page. Think of all the causes that are near and dear to your heart…animals, poor, hungry, wounded soldiers, etc. There’s an organization that is working to help them. All you have to do is like the facebook page and you will begin to get the posts. Then share the posts and the page. Talk about the organizations on your status and in your comments on other people’s pages.

If there is a specific group that a friend would like…tag them or post it to their page…they WILL thank you for it.

By gaining recognition for these places and organizations, you are helping them out, helping the cause out, and helping everyone they are helping out. This is 1 simple way to create an unbelievable amazing positive difference in your world. When the comments come back to you, the positivity comes full circle.

Definitely a way of motivating for positive change!

Feb 12 – 3 days till Valentines day

Wow…days are going by fast.

I’m so thankful that I have the ability to go out and speak about peopel changing the world everyday…then I get to write about people changing the world. I’m thankful I get to give ideas to people to change the world.

Through motivatingforpositivechange.com, I’m able to be hired and connect to so many different people from aroudn the world…it suddenly occurred to me:

We can all connected to everyone around the world.

If you’re reading this…you’re on the internet. If you like 87% of the adults in the U.S. you have a facebook account, and if you are reading this it is pretty likely you have a blog out there. That means we have 3 different ways to show positivity, or what people call love, to millions of people.

So here’s our 3 days before valentines day assignment:

Step 1: Write a message of love to all people.  Just a general note.

Step 2: Put it as your facebook status and start it: To all of my facebook friends (BTW my facebook is motivating positive change)

Step 3: Do the same thing with your Blog and start it: To all of my followers and those who are reading this (something like that)

Step 4: Smile and know that you have celebrated love with all of your extended internet friends.

What kind of awesome positive responses did you get?

Facebook…vehicle of change

You’re on your Facebook page reading what people are doing, wishing someone a happy birthday, looking at family photos, playing one of the many games like farmville or garden of time, or just looking for friends and you notice someone post an interesting status…so you write something back. You see a picture you think is cute, so you share it with the rest of your “friends”.

This is the world of Facebook. If you don’t have a Facebook page…you’re one of the few.

In the midst of all of this, there are advertisers maximizing Facebook to make sure that you buy their stuff, or “like” their business, or “post” something on your page to win some sort of prize.

What if we used Facebook for something positive.  BTW – this is not something new. There are so many awesome positive pages out there, and their only goal is to inspire and help people with their lives. (Mine happens to be exactly for this reason).

Look for the “just be” page, or the “Optimism project” page, or Frog in a well page, or look up peace pages.

Why not turn your Facebook into an agent of change and positivity rather than just a way to keep in touch with friends.

If you have friends, and they are reading and looking at what you have to post….you also have an audience to listen to you. It very well might just be the thing that someone needed to hear, read, or see.

Post anything you want…this blog, a positive picture, or a story of something awesome that happened to you.

Are you passionate about a cause…set up a  donation button or like the charity and share and re post the things they post.

If we are serious about changing the word for a better place, we have to do it in every way we can.

Like or friend  my Facebook page; motivatingforpositivechange and I will repost every positive thing that I get…in turn you will get all of these positive messages as well.

The more positive messages and positive things happening, the more positive energy in the world. The more people doing things to change the world…the more it can change to be the norm.

Connecting the dots in Madiera Beach

What I did to try to bring awareness to the need for change to decrease climate change.

The reality is that if we don’t do something, we’re going to drown!

This was part of a bigger thing that was put together by Bill McKibbin and his nonprofit: 350.org.

Check out the connect the dots website and go out and do something.

Why is it called 350.org?  Because if we don’t keep our carbon output below 350 parts per million…we will continue to melt the glaciers and the snow caps. There are so many people who are being affected…do something please!

It’s Earth Day

Wow…Earth Day.

If you ever want a sobering experience, look at the history of Earth Day. I have purposely not added it to this post because the journey of finding and reading the history is an educational experience in itself…and somethingwe should all do!

For Earth day to exist took a very very large group in the 70’s…before internet signature polls…these people had to get over a million signatures to get this day to even be considered as worthy enough to be celebrated as a nation.  That means when it was created millions of people truly wanted this to be a holiday.

My favorite comment on helping the earth is when senators, congress people, etc say that it’s just too expensive to talk about those types of things when we have to deal with “real problems” like jobs, war, etc. Funny enough, if we didn’t have an Earth….that would mean all other problems are frivolous and ridiculous.

It’s kind of like worrying whether or not there’s going to be lights and running water and trash service to the home that is underwater!

So let’s do something about it!  It’s Earth Day everyday….no excuses, no if’s, no and’s…no buts…we MUST do something.

If you’re not sure what to do…there’s many places that have tons of ideas and thoughts for you to do on earth day:

Here are a few places:

Earth Day 2012

Earth Day

Remember, don’t ever just take my word for it. e have the ability to change the world every moment. This article shares this idea that if we don’t come together and do something about this epidemic of destruction to our home, we will die!

There are Caribbean islands that are sinking. There are Polynesian islands that don’t exist. There are small waves that are washing over people’s villages…just becuase it hasn’t affected you this way doesn’t mean it won’t.

If your passion is to do something to help the earth…do it!

A small story…

There was a man. He decided he needed to do something about the earth and the plight of the earth. He decided to make no carbon footprint at all. Is that possible?  YES!   He is the no impact man!

I know what you’re saying….but I can’t do everything he’s doing. You might be right. But you can do a lot of it. What if you just started recycling plastic bags and plastic bottles. Then you tell some people about what you’re doing and you set a goal.  then you and your neighbors or friends do the same thing. Then each of you do 1 Facebook post a day about something you can do to reduce the impact you have on earth…just one a day. If there are 3 people doing this for 1 month, that means there are 90 Facebook posts….and all fo their on average 30 friends will get that post. Let’s say ony 1/3 of them do something…that’s 10 more people doing something. For a total of 13 people. Imagine how this can grow…and you are the innovator!

It’s possible to change the world….you just have to do it!

What are you doing right now to reduce your carbon footprint?

What could you do right now to spread the word?

How are you going to promote 365 earth day project that you’re creating?
